Black Jack ABC’s – Part 1

[ English ]

The main premise of the card game is to be handed cards adding up to twenty-one. Each twenty-one player is handed two cards. When a black jack player is handed a 9 or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been handed a soft hand. When the black jack player receives no Ace cards it is known as a hard hand. Once the cards have been dealt all players at the table, including the dealer, every player is provided the opportunity to make one of six actions:

Taking another card (Hit): When a gambler announces "hit" the dealer will deal them another card, if the addition of that card causes the total greater than 21 the black jack player will have busted and be excluded from the game, if the card pushes the total to 21 the player will be the winner and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet reached twenty-one they are still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a blackjack player is satisfied with the cards they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the croupier will show his/her hand and the gambler who has accumulated twenty one or the closet to 21 will come away with a win.

Doubling Down: A black jack player might ask to double down which increases the bet by 100% they have laid. As soon as you’ve taken this procedure you can only be given 1 more card. The specifics of doubling down are normally specified by the table or betting house game rules so prior to betting be certain you are familiar with the house rules. If you’re competing at a web casino this is usually very easy.
